Antique Micro mosaic crucifix pendant, Italian Cross, Roma

A beautiful antique, Victorian era micro mosaic Cross pendant.

So much attention to detail the cross is made up from a tesserae of colourful, tiny ceramic tiles.

To the centre there is a circular border with the word Roma in the middle of that circle.

These were popular souvenir pieces in the 19th Century bought home to the UK in the era from Italy.

The cross is medium sized piece and has a small brass jump ring at the top for hanging from your favourite chain or a nice black ribbon necklace.

It has a brass sheet backing to protect the tesserae at the front from friction wear.

Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, some surface wear and some small nibbles.

2.10" pendant length with bale
1.30" pendant width
