Antique Victorian mourning brooch, gilt metal and hairwork

A sweet antique Victorian mourning brooch.

It has a central glazed panel featuring a lock of tightly woven brown hair.

Finished in an aged gilt metal.

It is has an old c type clasp and pin fastener this is base metal, it has a closed base metal back.

Unmarked, c1870s

Condition:
Fair used condition overall, some wear to the metal and wear to the gilding, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, overall ageing, debris under the glass
