Antique winter ermine fur muff, Victorian

A truly beautiful antique ermine muff.
Late Victorian era, ermine being the winter coat of the stoat it was usually reserved for Royalty and the higher classes, due to the rarity and cost.
This gives the muff a very regal feel as it is synonymous with Royalty.
This is a smaller muff, but will be suitable for an adult, muffs were used to keep warm the hands and lower arms in chilly winter weather and were more often seen on high class individuals due to their expensive cost.
It is made from soft white or cream ermine fur, with black / brown tails.
The backing has been more recently replaced but this has been done to a high standard professionally and is nice and soft.
Condition:
Good used condition, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, lining has been replaced.

23.5" circumference
It has not been cleaned by us so may require cleaning prior to use.
