Vintage 1970s silk shirtwaist dress, Maureen Baker
A gorgeous vintage c1970s pure silk shirtwaist dress.
It is a mid length dress with long bishop style sleeves, a v neck ruffle neckline and a full skirt.
The dress has a matching belt making the pulled in waist look seamless.
It has a striped pattern in muted tones of blue, white, warm beige and grey.
Designed by Maureen Baker for Simpson Piccadilly.
Simpson Piccadilly was a high end fashion manufacturer and Maureen Baker was a renowned English fashion designer, she was head of Susan Small until its closure but more famously designed Princess Margarets wedding dress.
The princess remained a fan of Bakers designed and remained a customer after her wedding dress was created.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, signs of use and wear, a tiny few snags / pulls in the fabric, a couple of very tiny marks.
