Vintage 20s velvet devore dress, Art Deco, drop waisted

Stunning is the only way to describe this amazing 1920's devore velvet number.

This dress is crafted from a lovely devore velvet chiffon with floral design.

It has a very long v neckline with a cream cotton lace modesty panel set into it over peach chiffon, at the neck there is a beautiful fastener of two hand painted tin buttons, the same button detailing can be found at the end of the dropped waistline.

The waistline drops in a subtle v shape with a central godet below to give some swirl factor.

The back of the neck has a small cream cotton lace band as do the cuffs, at the bottom of the arms there is a small row of tiny metal stud fastenings which let the sleeves out a little.

No fasteners, the dress goes over the head.

Condition: Good used condition overall, the hem has been quite cut in quite a gaudy manner and there are a couple of nibbles near the hem, a few light marks to the shoulder area and a couple of tiny loose threads.

It has a black taffeta lining that would have been added later.
