A beautiful vintage Art Deco blue Paste and platinon long chain necklace.
Platinon is a rare alloy which was created in the 1920s as an imitation of platinum by John Wall, Birmingham, it was promoted as being an untarnishable metal and this necklace remains beautifully silver today.
Much like Pinchbeck is to antique gold platinon jewellery is now highly sought after and a rare find in Art Deco costume jewellery.
This necklace features circular light blue paste stones stationed along the entire length catching the light beautifully.
It fastens with a bolt ring and dog clip fastener and is marked platinon to the clasp.
A true Art Deco beauty.
Condition:
Very good used condition overall, signs of use and wear commensurate with age, some light surface wear to some paste.
