A truly magnificent vintage YSL Rive Gauche beaded sequin maxi dress.
A rare find, this dress has everything going and is YSL at its finest.
This is a long sleeved dress with a long flowing skirt, wider sleeves and a relaxed drapey silhouette, reminiscent of a kaftan, the floaty silhouette contrasts beautifully with the rich decadent beading and sequins making this the perfect day to night piece.
The dress is beaded and sequined all over with an abstract almost butterfly like design in rich inky black on a deep red crepe silk ground, the dress is fully lined and it is very heavy.
It fastens at the back with a long concealed zip fastener.
It is a true beauty and will certainly turn some heads, perfect for formal events, cocktail parties or proms.

Circa late 80s, labelled Yves Saint Laurent Rive Gauche, made in France size 42, dry clean only.
It is a very heavy dress, very well made.
Condition:
Good used condition overall, light signs of use commensurate with age, some light areas near the beading, a couple of small areas of missing or pulled beading, not visible unless close.
